The game incorporates essential content on food safety such as rules for operating within a market (including pets and limited handwashing), and best practices for handling fresh produce, eggs, dairy, meat, processed produce, and value-added products.
Market Set Go! was built for the USDA-NIFA funded project GLEAN: Game Learning to Educate and Advance Knowledge — Transformative Food Safety Training for Farmers Market Vendors, which identified knowledge gaps, developed training materials based on scientific standards, and evaluated the effect of the training on the audience.
